Stufff

Today was lots of boooooth. Booth is love. Booth’s roof is also love. But booth is exhausting love. You should definetly go help if you havn’t already. There will be pictures later.

Today was also the second photo field trip. Only 4 people ended up going. Sad. Meh. Oh well. There will be pictures later.

My back kinda hurts… too much bending and lifting things today, I guess. Heh, I should make it an annual tradition to jump off 2-story walls every year during the Carnival night market… except not >_<

Hopefully finalized schedule a and b. Depends on if I can register for two photo classes, and if I can get photo history or not. I still should look for more alternatives to photo history though…

Now I am off to make prints for photo class.

Long days make me sad, but at least it was a fun long day.

Things to do this weekend:
Make 4 prints for photo
Work on 15312 program
Do 18100 homework
Study for 21301 exam
Work on Outreach website
Work on Student Wars (?)
ENJOY CARNIVAL, DAMMIT

Oops

You may notice a little screwiness with the journal. Something happened to my databases today (something went wrong with the server), and they must’ve restored from backup or something because I lost a couple entries. Luckily, I was able to get them back from the LJ feed/Xanga mirror, but the Xanga mirroring script no longer works. Meh. Will get it working eventually.

In the meantime, a bunch of interesting stuff has been happening…

Matt bought my (old) camera from me to break. Much destruction ensued.

An art student covers the flagpole with empty printer paper boxes and entitles the work “Printing to the Sky.” Most of campus agrees that it is much more asthetically pleasing than “Walking to the Sky” will be.

Booth is happening. Booth loves you. You should help with it.

I’ve felt really tired all day. Not sure why. Will get more sleep tonight. See you all later.

I am made of blueberry cheesecake

First, a note to people who read this through LJ: I do love comments, and thank you, but please leave those comments on the actual post instead of on the LJ feed post… the comments on the LJ feed are deleted after the post gets too old… and meh, I don’t like losing comments. This goes for all entries. Each feed entry has a link to the actual entry at the top. Please use it!

So yeah. I havn’t eaten anything substantial for over 24 hours. Didn’t have breakfast yesterday, fell asleep through lunch, had some water and a banana, watched Ricky play Kingdom Hearts 2 (great game) through dinner, and then slept. Strangely enough, I’m still not hungry. I should probably eat something though. Poor stomach.

Not much else. I actually don’t have much homework (just a 312 program). Unless things change this week, I might actually be able to relax over carnival this year! Also still debating whether or not I should go to the CS50 thing. Some of it sounds interesting, but not *too* interesting, and the entry fee is $15. Then again, I’m probably never going to have another chance at this kind of stuff, so I should go. Wheee.

I should go get food and then go to class.

Edit: Well, I went and declared my math minor today. A nice surprise actually… turns out 251 counts as one of the requirements, so at this time, I am exactly three classes away from my math minor. I also went and switched my photo/digital imaging minor emphasis to photo, so I’m 4 classes away from that one. Assuming I get the schedule I want next semester, 15462, 62371, and 62381 will go toward my photo minor and 21355 and 21369 will go toward my math minor. That’ll put me one class away from completing each minor, in addition to leaving me with about 3 CS requirements for graduation. If I do 21484 (Graph Theory) and another photo course in the Spring in addition to networks and web apps, I will be one class away from graduation. That means I could very easily graduate a semester early with my double minor. I’m actually seriously considering that now. I mean, it’s not like I’m rushing through classes or anything, and I don’t know what else I would take Spring of senior year anyway… meh.
Yay for my CS major with photo and math minors!

Booooth

So in case you’ve never heard, CMU has an annual Carnival celebration. The highlight of Carnival is student-built booths, which serve as the main attraction and also compete for prizes. Whee. Spent some of today helping (kinda) KGB with their booth and taking photos of Midway for yearbook. Booth loves you. You should come/go help.

Also met with Steve today, who’s going to be my advisor for this summer. The project seems amazingly neat. We’re going to go through and rewrite a parser in Java to go through algebra word problems and turn them into simple solvable equations. In the process, we not only hope to simplify the job of the teacher using the LearnLab software, but also to gain insight into how students learn to read and interpret word problems. Sounds like a great opportunity… so glad I got it :D

I didn’t get enough sleep last night, so apologies to anyone I may have been “wheeeeeee meh” to (especially Keith). Tried to make up for it this afternoon, and will go to bed relatively early tonight.

Oh yeah, and I finally went through one of the huge bottles of shampoo from Costco. Only one left! Will it last me another 4 weeks?!? Wheee.
I AM out of conditioner though, so I will need to buy another small bottle for the remaining month of school.

Life is amazingly good right now, and maybe soon it’ll be better… or at least I can dream it will</cryptic>

Wheee

It’s looking like this will be my final schedule for next semester. I need to find some alternatives for photo history (I probably won’t get it), but the two CS classes have pretty much been guarenteed to me by Mark, and I shouldn’t have any trouble with the two math.

I’ve been having the weirdest food cravings lately. Two nights ago, at India Garden, I had a craving for paneer (cheese cubes). You have to understand, the only thing I hate about Indian food is the cheese cubes… and meh. I’ve been snacking on a lot of junk food lately. And today I actually had a craving for Schatz and/or Taste of India buffet. And right now I’m sitting here wanting doughnuts, fried eggs, and salami. Meeeh. I think I’m pregnant :(

Classes are going relatively well. Got a 73/75 on my 213 exam, and finished malloc: the problem I was stuck on wasn’t in malloc or free…. it was in realloc where I was dereferencing a char* instead of an int*… stupid stupid stupid! Got a 67.5/70 on my 80180 exam. Doing fine in 18100. Photo is fun. Whee.

Guess my music wheee
