It’s been a while since I updated.
Things have happened, though nothing particularly new or exciting.

I uploaded the third card set to RPG Get! anyway, despite the pending game redesign. I figure I was so bad at getting the first revision of the game up that it will likely be a while until I manage to get the redo done to any acceptable point. Also apparently people actually look at the game, given that I’ve gotten two journal comments about it. That’s two more than any of my other card games. :P

Life has been brought up to date, for the zero people following it.

Lots of gaming has been happening. This past weekend there was gaming and the Haight-Ashbury fair. Large photo dump of mostly portraiture is here (sully’s hair is kind of awesome, even indoors).



Weekend

I had a weekend. It was a good, long weekend.
There were games.

There was also a Cohort Memorial Day BBQ.

Fun fun.

It’s kind of fun to shoot people when they’re backlit, especially now that I’ve figured out how to use my D90 properly. Sooo many buttons.

Life and Bay to Breakers

life has gotten an update to bring it up to date. I have no comment on this past weekend.
I’ve also moved the daily photo project from life into photos2 because it wasn’t really being updated on a regular basis anymore, mainly because I’m kind of in a photo rut again. This is in fact a very good thing.

There was a Bay to Breakers race a week or so ago. It was very interesting, as always.

Logistics

Starting to take care of logistics related to moving. Plane tickets have been purchased, car rental has been reserved, things are starting to be packed, housing is being pursued. It’s a scary feeling. Still, I keep feeling like it’s the right thing to do, which is probably a good sign.

Current plan is to leave San Francisco on July 23 and fly into Pittsburgh around July 28.

I’ve been working on a redo of RPG Get. I’d been working on the next expansion set (Evolution Worlds) for a while and realizing that some of the abilities were getting really, really hard to express in ways that made sense. As a result, cards were filling up with text and it seemed like everything was going to be too difficult to track. Instead, I’m breaking things down into various different stats and icons and hopefully simplifying the flow.

So for the past couple weeks, I’ve been mulling over things in my mind. I think I’m at a good point now where I can make a reasonable decision. So, I can say with near certainty…

I will be moving back to Pittsburgh toward the end of July.

Also it feels all the more real when I actually write it like that. (And scary all over again.)
“Near certainty” because I can still be convinced otherwise. I’m sure there are things I haven’t thought about yet.
Therefore…
If anyone has thoughts on whether or not it’s a good idea, thoughts on moving services/methods, or thoughts on housing in Pittsburgh, input would be greatly appreciated.
