The past 3 days, in particular the past 24 hours, in particular the past 7 hours have been among the best, most amazing, happiest times of my life.

Carnival has been happening. A few pictures are up at photos, and I’ll post more logical tomorrow sometime. Seeing all the booths and walking Midway was fun.
This morning was Mobot and buggy sweepstakes. I went and photographed buggy with Greg, and then watched Mobot with Alisa and rlambert and peoples. That was incredibly awesome and fun.
There was more Ukranian (sp?) egg dying with gwillen and peoples that resulted in pretty eggs being made.
Then this evening was dinner and a movie and some interesting conversation and just generally spending time with a certain awesome someone.

Also, I found out today that General Dynamics wants to extend me a summer internship offer. This makes me happy, because it means I’ll get to stay in Pittsburgh this summer (around campus), and yay!

I’m just totally, completely, utterly happy with everything in life right now.

Also, apparently, I’m absorbing nerdiness and cs-major-ness into my skin and developing pasty white nerdflesh, as I actually managed to lightly sunburn myself today after only being outside for a short while.
So weird…

Lifeness

Life’s been good, even if I am a little out of it right now and tired and wanting sleep but having a bit of homework to finish up for tomorrow first.

Booth has been happening in preparation for Carnival this upcoming weekend. Alas, I don’t have a group to build booth for this year (KGB isn’t doing one)… but perhaps this is for the best as I have way too much work that needs to be done.

Last night was a fun pizza and games party with Tim, Keith, Mars, and Greg. Yay for yummy pizza and the company of awesome friends!

CMU Adventures has had a bit more content added (three more monsters and a few more items in Wean 4). Check if out if you have a chance. As always, feedback is appreciated.

Yeeeah, I have more I want to write, but my eyes are starting to shut and have trouble focusing on the screen, so I should probably finish up this presentation and then shower and sleep.

Schedulewank

Schedulewanking is in progress.
I kinda like this schedule (15397 is Pen Based Computing–writing apps for tablet PCs–not webapps [TCPulse has it wrong because they overloaded the course number]). However, despite taking databases pass/fail, it might still be a little too much, given that I’m taking OS. I dunno. Also, I’m still not sure if I want to take photo or not, but I don’t know what I’d take in its place. This is also okay, except I think 51 units is too much with OS.

Life is generally happy, despite having its blah moments. I failed the graph theory exam part 1 on Monday, and am likely going to fail more on the part tomorrow (the proof portion). Why do I suck so much at graph theory?
Also, I found out I didn’t get the job with Maya. Waiting to hear back from General Dynamics. Eh. If I don’t get this, I won’t have a job this summer and I’ll likely end up travelling instead, which still isn’t all that bad. Whee.

Relationship foo is going well, I think. At least, it’s going well from my standpoint.
Friends are still full of awesome and win.

I printed some 30″ X 30″ photo prints (not digital outputs from a large printer) on Monday. It’s kinda awesome. Exposing the paper is a pain, and then developing it and fixing it and such is also a pain. Carrying it places is an even bigger pain, since it’s photo paper, and I imagine rolling it too tightly is bad for it since it’ll crack and whatnot.

I think I’ve generally stopped caring about photos for Portrait class though. I got a B on my last assignment (the stuff of Car and Tom) despite my trying hard to get things just right, so I’m basically not going to try anymore. I can’t do any better than a B in the class anyway (currently have a low B), so why put forth the effort when it’s only going to frustrate me more and make me hate photography again?

I wonder why I’m still wanting to take Black and White II next semester, given that.
Blahhh.
I hate my portrait class with a passion, despite having awesome things such as huge 30X30 Vincents. If it wasn’t for the fact that there’s only this assignment (big portraits) and one more (platinum prints) left, I would drop the class. I figure I’ll suffer through a couple more assignments and be done.

Talked to Ev on the phone today. It was nice catching up, I suppose. I wish we talked more often, but meh.

Last night was the screening of “Paris je t’aime” that I had to go to for photo history class. Took Greg along, and he seemed to enjoy it. It was one of the most unique film experiences I’ve ever had, with short 5-minute clips ranging from the sad (a mother reminising about her dead son), unique (Elijah Wood as a vampire!), funny (mimes in love), and touching (a blind man remembering his relationship with an actress), all set in Paris.

Now is graph theory studying time, so I don’t fail as badly tomorrow. Wheeeeee.

This song Change (Jason Nevins Dance/Pop Radio Edit) might be the first song I’ve listened to where the remix is better than the original song. It’s truly an awesome remix for an already fairly awesome song. I love getting new music, even though I really can’t afford it right now :)

Life has been incredibly awesome and happy lately, despite this weekend consisting mostly of me being lazy and not getting work done and now, as a result, being incredibly behind in classwork and likely going to fail the graph theory exam tomorrow. I think Friday night was the most awesome time I’ve ever had in a long time. There was chocolate fondue (courtesy of Mars and Dan, I believe), awesome games, spending time with friends/people I care about, and some awesome conversation until 5:30 AM.
There was also a Tim getting eaten by his bed.

There was an ITG sightreading tournament on Saturday that I went to and photographed for a bit. It had a rather impressive turnout.

So yeah, this weekend has been full of laziness and graph theory studying (and I’m still going to fail, ahhh!). Also worked a bit on my paper for photo history. I should have been coding networks. Bleh. At least we ended up doing well on p2. Yay for doing well on projects.

Life makes me so happy… friends make me so happy…
