Grade anti-angst

Avrim (my algo professor) and Sri (my algo TA) are officially the best people ever.

You got 145/200 on the final. This brought your overall average to
84.55. This was a bit below the A/B cutoff of 86, but your TA reported you had good class participation so this nudged you above the line and you received an A in the course.

Happy holidays,
Avrim Blum

So um yeah… I guess everyone else must’ve bombed the analysis final as well, because I ended up with a B in that class (higher than expected, given that I couldn’t do 3/8 of the final and bsed most of the remainder). And apparently my grade on graphics lab 3 (the ray tracer) and the final were high enough that it pulled up my mediocre homework grades (and lab 2 and 4 grades). Everything else was as expected (my two photo classes and numerical methods were all A’s).

So I did far better than I was expecting. Yay.
It also means my overall QPA went up by 0.01 points, which is awesome.

I have an intense craving for chocolate chip chocolate muffins and (plain) croissants right now. Maybe I should run to Safeway and get some… or I could wait until my parents get home (dad’s at chemo right now) and go to Costco… although that’s perhaps a few too many croissants/muffins.

No photos because I haven’t been taking any lately. I really should. Meh.

*bored*

  1. Mmm… muffins :-)

I just learned a few weeks ago that Safeway is a grocery store and not some mutation of the gas station Speedway. Otherwise I would have been really confused here.
