Mimosas!

Today was tasty brunch with Sharon, Charles, Matt, Ally, Mark, and Leah. We made scrambled eggs and omelets and hard-boiled eggs and bacon and french toast and bacon/cucumber sandwiches. And mimosas. Lots and lots of mimosas. Two bottles of champagne and two cartons of orange juice worth of mimosas. Om nom nom nom.

Photos have been uploaded to photos 2 as part of the huge random batch (and the random photos from portraits have also been moved into photos2).

Here’s a bunch of photos of Ally’s reaction to the Gay Bar music video (NSFW).

Does anyone else remember her awesome quotes? I can’t recall any.

Life Updates

Life (both the daily photo project and life proper) have been updated with photos from the last month. Didn’t meant to get so behind on doing that.

Also, random photos and photos from yesterday’s release party have been uploaded to photos2. Some new things have made it into portraits as well. (It was kind of an arbitrary decision whether a photo went into portraits or photos2… deal with it. :P)
I just realized I forgot to include photos from games at Jeremy’s on Sunday (as they were in a different folder). I suppose the random photo gallery will get another update at some point (or games will get their own gallery).

So yeah. Lots of photos lately. Lots of awesomeness in life lately.

Also, here’s Zeke making awesome Spanish Tapas last night:

And Sharon and Charles enjoying them:

Photo Firsts (Janel), Photos, and (Ph/F)ood

I tried a food experiment today that turned out really tasty. It’s basically palo, except with chicken instead of pork and with nothing else (no egg or tofu).

Coat 1 chicken breast in five-spice powder (palo mix). Quickly fry on both sides in a little bit of oil. Add water, soy sauce, and a little sugar to the pan and boil for about 20 minutes, flipping the chicken sporatically. Serve over rice.

I also discovered that you can make rice by sticking 1/2 cup rice and 1 cup water in the microwave for 10 minutes. Much easier than pulling out the rice cooker when it’s just rice for one. It’s not as fluffy, but it’s much simpler.

Yesterday, Sharon and I made fresh spring rolls. We also played a lot of Rock Band with Matt.

Life has also been full of photos lately.

Also, here’s my first photo of Janel:
