{"id":1543,"date":"2010-07-11T23:54:01","date_gmt":"2010-07-12T06:54:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/?p=1543"},"modified":"2010-07-12T00:05:40","modified_gmt":"2010-07-12T07:05:40","slug":"wine-tasting-in-sonoma","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/?p=1543","title":{"rendered":"Wine Tasting in Sonoma"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today Sharon drove Richard, Victor, and myself up to Sonoma to do wine tasting and awesomeness.<\/p>\n<p>Brunch at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thegirlandthefig.com\/\">the girl &#038; the fig<\/a> featured humongous french toast stuffed with lemon cream and covered in blueberry sauce.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/071110food1.JPG\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We visited four wineries (or at least their tasting centers): Sebastini, Chateau St. Jean, Kenwood, and St. Francis.<br \/>\nKenwood has a 2009 Yulpa White Zinfandel that I really, really like.<br \/>\nSt. Francis had an awesome tasting menu with food accompaniments. I could eat entire loaves of their sweet baguette. Nom. The pork and cheese were also really good.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/071110food2.JPG\" \/><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/twitpic.com\/24hdun\">Tweeted<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/twitpic.com\/24hyf5\">photos<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/twitpic.com\/24hywm\">exist<\/a>.<br \/>\nTasty tasty food.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/071110spin.gif\" \/><\/p>\n<p>So overall it&#8217;s been quite the awesome (and busy) weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Tons of thanks to Sharon for driving today and hosting yesterday, and to Charles and Matt for hosting yesterday.<br \/>\n(Alternately, tons of thanks to Sharon for driving today, and to Sharon and Charles and Matt for hosting yesterday.)<\/p>\n<p>Because it is midnight and I didn&#8217;t get as much sleep last night as I wanted, photos (from yesterday and today) will have to wait until tomorrow to be posted.
