{"id":1057,"date":"2009-07-27T19:03:11","date_gmt":"2009-07-28T02:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/?p=1057"},"modified":"2009-07-27T19:08:16","modified_gmt":"2009-07-28T02:08:16","slug":"food-chocolate-pasta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/?p=1057","title":{"rendered":"Food (Chocolate Pasta)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Still feeling kind of meh (see yesterday&#8217;s rant), but I did some cooking today.<\/p>\n<p>This morning I woke up early and made myself a tasty breakfast sandwich.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/072709sandwich.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nA mushroom omelette with cheese inside a toasted english muffin.<\/p>\n<p>My camera arrived today, so I put it to work taking photos of my attempt at dessert: chocolate pasta.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>1\/2 cup whole wheat flour<br \/>\n3 tablespoons Ovaltine<br \/>\n1 egg white<\/p>\n<p>Mix ingredients into a moist dough. It should not be crumbly, but should not be sticky. Roll out flat with a rolling pin and cut into strips. Boil about 5 minutes. Serve with cherry sauce, hot or cold.<\/p>\n<p>12 cherries<br \/>\n1 tablespoon sugar<\/p>\n<p>Cut cherries into small pieces and add sugar. Cook over low heat about 5 minutes until slightly syrupy.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/072709pasta1.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/072709pasta2.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/072709pasta3.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/072709pasta4.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/journal2.alanv.org\/images\/072709pasta5.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It wasn&#8217;t bad.
