I went to Phoenix and San Francisco a couple weeks ago for a business trip.<br \/>\nPhoenix was pretty uneventful. Saw some friends, and went on a trip to a copper mine with the parents.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Phoenix417\/NKN_1310.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Phoenix417\/NKN_1403.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Phoenix417\/NKN_1662.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Phoenix417\/NKN_1712.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>San Francisco was full of work and people and food and surprising amounts of board gaming.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/San_Francisco417\/NKN_2142.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/San_Francisco417\/NKN_2176.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/San_Francisco417\/NKN_2338.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/San_Francisco417\/NKN_2579.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/San_Francisco417\/NKN_2815.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/San_Francisco417\/NKN_2995.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then this past week was Carnival, and we had 8 people staying with us (two of which were young children). While it was really, really nice to see everyone and have lots of fun adventures, I think 10 people staying in one house is a few too many.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Carnival_Games_2017\/NKN_4638.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Carnival_Games_2017\/NKN_4688.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Carnival_Games_2017\/NKN_5795.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Midway itself was also a little disappointing this year, although Buggy made up for it by setting new records in both the men&#8217;s and women&#8217;s races on the qualifiers, followed by breaking both records in the finals. (I didn&#8217;t go to mobot, but I hear it had exactly two competitors this year, which is pretty sad.)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Midway_2017\/NKN_3451.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Midway_2017\/NKN_5548.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Buggy_2017\/NKN_6008.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/photos2.alanv.org\/knowngalleries\/Buggy_2017\/NKN_6126.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There was also a March for Science on Saturday.
